I've been following Joy the Baker for a while now. It's one of those foodie blogs i religiously follow and wish I had such kitchen talents. Anyway...she gave a great blog on Cake flour. Yes..making your own cake flour. I just had to share.
'Cos I know alot of people overseas find it hard to find cake flour, and when I go to baking classes, alot of my foreign classmates don't know whats cake flour. And really, cake flour costs an arm and a leg in comparison to plain flour- which really shouldnt be the case.
Cake flour simply put- is sifted all purpose flour and cornflour! It makes cakes/bakes lighter and softer, but isn't ideal for breads. Go here for the full instructions.

Here's us. Predominantly in our very conscious but child-like forms a bit after we got married. -Notice how we were still infatuated with a little ring on our fourth finger signifying our union in marriage.
I hate to admit this to you. but months later...err..we're still like this.
Just a few nights ago after our 49th monthiversary and a little over midnight I was still jumping around like a spring chicken and asked H :
Dear..don't you want to talk?
H, half asleep and wrapped warmly in the blanket let out a mere groan,-
Urghhh...this is going to be looooong night!
In all seriousness, I had nothing to talk about but wasn't gonna fall asleep anytime soon. I had a afternoon nap and H knows afternoon naps leave me jumping with joy at night.
But being the true husband that he is, he scratched his forehead, popped on his glasses, sat up and said:-
Ok, what do you want to talk about?
And being the silly inconsiderate wife I am, I smiled, closed my eyes and replied-
With that..somehow all my energy left and soon after I did fall asleep. Which kind of leaves me sounding quite selfish at the moment huh?
So dear..thank you for enduring those spring chicken nights of mine. I promised to entertain you for your spring chicken nights too.
And for all thats been asking How's marriage? All I can say is that We're getting use to it...and we're loving it.

Ok, I digressed. And just to clarify...it's a 'he' just like guys name their cars 'she'. Its just a opposite sex sort of thing. But look...he's just ultra sleek.
And this was my first bake with KitchenAid. To be precise, maybe it was my first cutting session with KitchenAid. You don't understand do you? H ended up playing with it and I became the assistant. Hmm. Did I say it was my toy?!
H can't deny it. Cos I also blame my failed Kueh Lapis on him. tee hee.
I never showed you my Kueh Lapis because it kinda turned...well..ugly. Tasted fine..but ugly. Fugly ugly.
So now you know what I've been up to.

Half way through choosing, a kid ran into the store. After a few glimpses he shouted
Isnt there any Normal chocolate in this place?
lol. Poor mum.
I ended up with Banana chocolate and Sugar free Milk chocolate. -Though you'd most probably notice the first ingredient on the sugar-free chocolate is sweetener- hmm.
The chocolate? Smooth. Soft. Nice. -I've really got a way with words huh?!
Chocoholics all aboard!
Chocolate Research Facility, Level 2 Wheelock Place Singapore. I believe its also at Millenia Walk.

While waiting, we spent much of our time reading up their wall of fame. Excerpts from magazines.

Well, this post is no exception. Sorry. I'm gonna tell you I've been extremely busy but I'll be back to blogging soon. I promise. But not that it really matters. Now that its out of my system, lets begin.
I've been extremely busy with:
work- hi ho overtime!
the new house -which is most probably not so new now considering its taking its own sweet time. You'll most probably be moulding by the time it finishes and I'll most probably I dunno, have grandkids by then.
And in the middle of it, H threw a semi-surprise getaway trip which I'll tell you about next time- you know the gist, the part which would be interesting.
In the mean time, have a Kit Kat.
